Shahkar Carpet, also known as Shahkar of Kourosh, is a distinguished product of Kourosh Carpet & Kilim Company—a brand that has journeyed through many challenges to reach its current standing. In this section, we’ll explore part of the company’s history to better understand the birth and evolution of Shahkar Carpet.
The founders of Kourosh Carpet & Kilim Company began their journey in 2003 by establishing Madaen Carpet in the Soleiman Sabahi Industrial Town, the heart of Iran’s carpet industry. In 2006, the company continued its operations under the brand Naghshe-Afarin Kavir Bidgol for a period of five years.
Finally, in 2011, with the launch of the first phase of its development plan—and the integration of cutting-edge industrial machinery and expert engineers—the company officially introduced the Shahkar brand. The new facility was established on a 20,000 square meter site, marking the birth of a new chapter in Iranian carpet craftsmanship.
